I got this because I park on the street with my 2004 silverado. I was scared someone might pull a prank and poor something in my tank which could ruin my truck. Removed the old cap and put this one in, it was really simple. The cap works great. And as a plus it looks like a factory cap, not some cheap plasticy p.o.s.

My gas cap arrived quickly after my order was placed. It is very easy to lock and unlock the cap. I feel secure now that nobody can access my gasoline tank for theft. I needed this locking cap because the door to my gas cap area did not lock. I happy with my purchase.

This is as close to a factory locking gas cap I have ever seen (purchased for a 2004 Chevy Silverado LT). It works flawlessly and, since my truck lives in my driveway and not the garage, it gives me peace-of-mind. Make sure you look at how your gas cap threads are designed before you buy this cap, though, as I went through one other cap before I got it right. Mine has no threads on it. I highly recommend this product.
