works ok in our VW Golf TDI, but no teather and no slots in the cap to park it on the door, like regular VW and Audi caps have

A must have for your diesel truck, mine had the wrong cap and would suck the tank in. The chevy dealer said it was supposed to be the same cap as the gas engine. This cap fixed my problems.
